●5.7 Regional Restrictions
The following regional restrictions apply to the teams. They differ based on the killer player for each set.
●11 Bugs and Errors in Game Design
The use of any in-game bugs and errors is prohibited. This includes abusing mistakes in the map layout or issues with certain obstacles.
Penalty:
- Game Penalty I-III (§23)
- Forfeit of the set (§23)
- Team Disqualification (§23)
Penalties for §11.1 are handed out if there has been taken advantage in the game or it was an attempt to gain such an advantage.
(Clarification: This rule prevents punishment for an accidentally triggered bug in the game that will disadvantage the player who triggered the bug. §11 aims to punish any form of bug and error usage that grants a potential advantage over the opponent team.)
In cases where no statement by the game developers on something potentially bugged in the game has been released, the judgement is based on whether something is intended by the general logic of the game or a character or if it is off the standard functions.
●12 Unplayable Conditions, Bugs, Disconnects
Teams must report an issue or an unplayable condition immediately. The information must be done by informing the spectating staff member. If no staff member is present, they must ping the roles of staff and match officials in their private team channel or the match channel.
Penalty: Risking denial of §12.4 (Restart)
Teams are not allowed to disconnect at their discretion. Staff will permit if necessary.
Penalty:
- Black Card + §12.3 (if linked to a potential game error) (§23)
- Black Card + +12.3 + §1.3 (if a break of code of conduct) (§23)
If not caused by a game error or issued by Staff, disconnects count as
Game-related issues that lead to an unplayable condition for one or multiple players and bring a disadvantage lead to a restart with no penalties. All parties may adjust their loadouts. The restart may be denied if §12.1 is not followed.
●18 Loadouts and Balance Restrictions
Loadout is defined as the whole equipment for a game. This includes the characters, skins, perks, items, add-ons, and offerings.
Every player must create their loadout by following the rules and restrictions in this ruleset and the balance specification in the Discord server.
Penalty: Black Card + Game Penalty I (§23)
Listed offerings are obligatory to bring. If there is a choice between two, the players must bring one of them. Options are marked with „/„, „and“ or a similar term.
Penalty: Black Card + Game Penalty I (§23)
Facultative parts of the loadouts will be marked with an explicit term indicating the voluntary choice.
Items and add-ons are facultative to bring.
No balance offence has been committed when…
(Clarification: Aura/Location showing offerings are considered a balance offence, except for §18.5b)
The rule offending side must adjust their loadout according to the rules if an offence was committed.
Penalty: listed in §23.8
●19 Scoring, Determination of a winner
A cascading set of win conditions determines the winner of a set. Win-condition A is decisive unless tied, in which case win-condition B becomes decisive. If the results for win-condition B are tied as well, win-condition C becomes decisive. If all three win conditions, A, B and C, are tied – the set is tied.
The win conditions according to §19.1 are:
A: The team whose survivors complete more generators wins.
B: The team whose killer gets more hook stages wins.
C: The team whose killer gets more fresh hooks (individually hooked survivors) wins.
The set is counted as a tie if all win conditions are tied. The match continues with the next set. After all sets have been played, the set with a tie will be replayed if there is no winner.
A set repeated to break a tie will be played in the opposite order from the original match. If another repetition is needed, the order is now alternating.
Bleedouts reward complete hook stages (three hook stages for win-condition B and one fresh hook stage for win-condition C).
If at least one generator remains when the game ends, the Killer will be awarded all hook stages for win conditions B and C (12 hooks on 4 survivors) - regardless of the match's outcome.
Additional explanation: Escapes through exit games or the hatch only impact the match if the survivor team completes all generators. This reduces the remaining RNG during the endgame.
Usage of a killer‘s power, Hex: Devour Hope or Rancor and Moris award all remaining hook stages and the fresh hook for that survivor to the killer when the survivor is killed. If the usage of a killer power progresses, the survivor's hook stages, the hook stages and the fresh hook for that survivor are awarded to the killer.
Kills through the Endgame Collapse are considered a regular sacrifice.
The matches are usually held as a Bo1, Bo3, Bo4, Bo5 or Bo7. The exact format is specified in the Discord event category.
●20.1 Killer - Blocking a pathway
The killer may not block a survivor's pathway for more than 10 seconds.
●21 Survivor - Additional Rules
All survivors must play individual characters. A survivor's legendary skins are not considered an individual character.
Penalty: Listed in §15.3
Survivors are not allowed to open chests. An open chest is the completed progress bar, and the chest opening in-game.
Penalty: Black Card + Forfeit of the set (§23)
Survivors cannot attempt a self-unhook (Kobe) unless the perk Deliverance is active and ready to be used.
Penalty: Black Card + Forfeit of the set (§23)
According to §21.3, a non-successful attempt is punished similarly if the shorter time on the hook impacts the match.
Penalty: Listed in §21.3
21.3 and §21.4 do not apply when all survivors are hooked, or all survivors are hooked, and only one survivor remains slugged on the ground. In this case, speeding up the deaths is allowed. If a successful self-unhook happens, the survivor team will not be punished if they stay at the exact location, do not use any perk, or attempt to escape. This rule does not apply when one of the hooked survivors has the perk Deliverance ready to be used.
Penalty: Listed in §21.3 (when requirements are not met)
After the last generator has been finished, the survivor team must attempt to open the exit gates and try to escape within 9 minutes.
Penalty: Black Card + Forfeit of the set (§23)
The skins “Princess Heart Cosplay” and “Jill Cosplay” of Feng Min are forbidden.
Penalty: Black Card + Game Penalty I (§23)
●23 Penalties, Rule Enforcement
Every offence of a rule leads to an applied Black Card, except if a rule offence is punished with a team disqualification.
In addition to §23.1, administrative and game-related penalties may be applied. Administrative penalties are used for any rule offence that is not directly related to a played match. Game-related penalties are applied for not following game-related rules during a game.
- Administrative penalties are:
- Game-related penalties are:
Game-Penalties I, II and III are applied in case of balance offences, failed lobby setup and usage of bugs/errors that do not come with a higher penalty. These penalties influence the win conditions for the teams:
Game Penalty I: applied for a balance offence, failed lobby setup and usage of bugs/errors (that is not punished with a higher penalty) within 60 seconds and before a generator has been completed, a hex totem has been cleansed or a survivor has been downed.
The rule offending team takes -0,5 hook stages on win condition B. Furthermore, the game will be restarted, and the rule offending must adjust the rule offending parts. Other changes are not allowed.
The other side may change their loadout.
Game Penalty II: applied for using bugs/errors (not punished with a higher penalty) before the third generator has been completed or one survivor has been sacrificed/killed.
The rule offending team takes -2,5 hook stages on win condition B. Furthermore, the game will be restarted, and the rule offending must adjust the rule offending parts. Other changes are not allowed.
The other side may change their loadout.
Game Penalty III: applied for using bugs/errors (not punished with a higher penalty) after the conditions in §23.5b are no longer met. Furthermore, the game will be restarted, and the rule offending must adjust the rule offending parts. Other changes are not allowed.
The other side may change their loadout.
Multiple balance offences get punished with a game penalty according to §23.5.
If both teams have broken the rules, they may not adjust their loadouts.
Adjusting the loadout incorrectly or without permission according to §23.5 is another committed balance offence. Loading back in the trial with a limited/reduced loadout does not trigger a penalty.
Penalty: Black Card + Game Penalty I
